My name is Tokuko Tajima, known as Coco, founder of TINTAUNITA.

I am Japanese, and like many women, I once believed that having healthy, beautiful skin was simply a given.

That belief changed when I suddenly developed adult acne.

For over five years, I tried everything—doctors, treatments, cosmetics, diets, supplements—yet nothing truly worked.

Instead of improving, my skin only became more fragile and irritated.

Eventually, I decided to stop following instructions blindly and began studying adult acne on my own.

That is when I discovered powerful active ingredients such as vitamin C derivatives and fullerene, and the importance of proper cleansing combined with targeted treatment.

The results were immediate and unlike anything I had experienced before.

However, at that time, products containing these ingredients were often too aggressive, unpleasant to use, and extremely expensive..

Why TINTAUNITA Was Created

From this experience, I decided to create skincare that is:

• Highly effective, with meaningful concentrations of active ingredients
• Gentle and comfortable, even for sensitive skin
• Honest and functional, without unnecessary compromises
• Reasonably priced, so real solutions remain accessible

High concentrations of active ingredients always involve risk.

For this reason, many brands choose low concentrations to minimize complaints.

But people suffering from acne need results, not diluted promises.

For nearly a year, I worked with a group of volunteers with similar skin concerns, testing and refining formulations until we found the highest effective concentrations that remained well tolerated.

Any formula that caused irritation was rejected and reformulated.
